I read in this months Big Issue that a new fair trade and ethical shop has opened in Glasgow. The link is [link= http://www.entrading.co.uk ]www.entrading.co.uk[/link], there was an article as well about something called a wrapsack that you put presents in and when its been handed over, you can log its number onto a site and see how far it travels.
About time we had a city centre fairtrade shop, about time, if anyone is from Glasgow or in Glasgow, then go and have a look.
RE: new eco shop glasgow
Hi CT,
I have looked at their site, and it certainly is worth a visit to the shop. The location is very central and easy toget to, so I will drop in the next time I am up in Glasgow.
I am fascinated by their insurance. They say, "We even have environmentally sound insurance cover which is carbon-neutral and provides us with an environmental audit.". What on earth is a carbon-neutral insurance policy?
With love and light,
Sue

RE: new eco shop glasgow
Well I found the shop and its lovely, I managed to stop at 20 quid, bought a few of the wrapsacks, where you put a present in and people pass them on and log on to a site and track the progress.
Bought a lovely candle made from palm oil for less than 5 quid and some notebooks that used to be plastic bags.
I would recommend it to anyone who is in Glasgow and looking for all things ethical and fair trade.
They have a nice range of ethical make up and when I get paid next thats on my hit list, they also do eco balls, soapods, hemp bags, organic clothing, there is also an organic cafe attached to the shop and the people serving were so nice.

Oh and a deodorant stick with no nasties for about 4 quid, I dont have more money than sense, Im just trying to make some changes to my lifestyle. Hope the shop does well, there are too few eco shops in the Glasgow area.
