Crystal deodorants won't keep you dry. The salts purely kill bacteria.

The key is in the name 😉

De-Odourant : i.e. non odourous or non smelly. 😀
Anti-Perspirant : i.e. against perspiration or stopping perspiring.

It is the aluminium ingredient in regular anti-perspirants that blocks the pores and has been linked as a possible cause of breast cancer.

So, yes, the crystal sticks won't stop you perspiring, but it kills off the bacteria that feeds off the sweat and makes the smell. 🙂

All loveley stuff. hehe!

Having tried various deodorants from health food shops (sorry, can't recommend any anti-perspirants) I have decided that the liquid crystal spray works best for me. I went through several aloe and "natural" type deodorants, but they don't work (especially in the summer!) - I was having to wash and reapply several times a day and almost went back to the chemical ones, then found the liquid crystal and it works non-stop!

Strange. I've tried two diff types now and both work fine. I put the stick under the tap so it is dripping wet before applying. Last longer than the 24 hour ones.

I've been using an ice guard crystal stick for a year or so now and it's brilliant.

Had a bit of trouble with keeping it in the push up holder though cos it comes out after a while - usually into sink when running it under tap, and it smashes to bits. Contacted makers who said it was a faulty batch & must be something to do with the glue - but replacement came out too, so ended up chucking out the holder and keeping the stick in a little dish in the bathroom. Apart from that we're really pleased with it, and after months of use by two of us there's hardly any "wear" at all so will last for ages......

It's best applied when wet, e.g. by running it under the tap - but I just apply mine when I get out the shower before drying myself, and that works fine.

Daughter tempted to go back to anti-persp spray cos she doesn't like the 'wet look' under the oxters now weather's warming up, but so far I've managed to persuade her to stick with the stick - if you know what I mean!

Might try the spray version now after reading positive reports here.
