I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I needed a place to rant ...
I've just been watching Game of Thrones - on DVD, series 3, Jon and the wildings climbing the Ice Wall. TV and film makers consult experts on all kinds of things, so why, when characters are climbing, do they all go upward on the same rope? Why do they not think climbing is worth asking someone who knows about it?
Only one person climbs at a time. The others belay themselves to the rock face, so they are safe. That way, if s/he falls s/he can be held. What's the point of having a rope if all it does is endanger the other climbers more?
Okay - I'm not really expecting a good answer here. But thanks for letting me rant.
The simple answer is to stop watching rubbish. 😉
it has to be said game of thrones is awsome ... perhaps you should try it .. season 5 is out soon
Seriously, I don't have a TV licence or watch live TV, only catch-up on the internet with things of any real interest. Gives time to do real life things. 😉

Me neither. But we do watch DVDs occasionally (more in the winter) when it's something I'm enjoying. And I am enjoying most of Game of Thrones. Most.
