Hi Celtia,
I've heard that some spiritulist church goers can tend to put people with potential down & theres an elemint of "I'm better then you & you'll always be a beginner or a none starter"...I've never been to a spiritulist church myself so i shouldn't really comment...please no one tell me off[sm=hidesbehindsofa.gif]but I plan on doing so one day to see for myself what it's like & how the people are....but i have heard theres a lot of competivness, but I supose it depends on the church & no 2 are alike...
I believe the same as you, we all have the ability to connect with spirit & when we're ready to open ourselves up or acknowledge our connection then we can being working with spirit...thats just my thoughts:eek:...as I've said before on here...some people are born to be good singers, good artist, good athletes, good mediums & clairvoyants...we are all born with the same equipment (assuming theres no disabilities) it's just a case of either acknowledging your strong points or finely tuning them...

Is there not any development groups in your area as opposed to going to a church...I'd think the last thing you need is someone knocking your confidence & making you doubt yourself...you know who you are & what your capable of & dont let anyone tell you other wise, no matter how experienced they say they are;)

What is it that you feel that is the importent thing, if u feel it is not the ritre thing then thats your decision at the end of the day. No one elses

I agree wholeheartedly with Ithar. The only thing I would add is be sure to protect yourself before opening to spirit. Not all are what they seem.

Hi Celtia, from what you say, you are expecting too much of yourself too soon! I do agree with other opinions, however, that there are those in the spiritualist church who are more ego-driven than spiritual, so watch out for that and trust in your own abilities and your spirit guides. Sometimes you can get jealousy from those who have been 'working for years' and who dislike newcomers who 'come on too fast'...

One said that she could see that the "clairvoyant" part of my aura was not activated

Hmm....que? I'd ask her to clarify that for you - it's way too vague and no use for your development. It's not necessarily a bad thing - could be that you're not a natural clairvoyant and will develop along other lines, or could be that it has still to be 'opened'. (reserving judgement on this...;))

One of the mediums then told me that I was trying too hard and spirits who had passed over didn't repsond to that???

Again, ask for clairifcation. It's good to ask - for your own understanding and for theirs - teach 'em to be clearer! Trying too hard could mean you are too tense and always 'searching' for a message instead of just letting it come to you. It's a common mistake, comes with practice.

I have been practising psychometry and tarot readings and seem to be going quite well with these, but actually getting messages from spirit...not a dicky bird. Or none that make any sense to anyone else anyway!

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, just maybe trying to run before you can walk. Focus on the foundations first, get them right and the rest will follow. Give yourself time. BTW - did you know that the cards can be a useful tool to develop clairvoyance?

PS -I just came across your post on Meditation and the probs you have with the sacral chakra. Did you know that clairvoyance is seated in the sacral? 🙂 Or so I'm told.
