Hi, I was wondering if anyone might be able to advise me.
Some time ago my mum was quite ill and a friend of mine gave me a number of two spiritual healers. I gave them a call and they came to see my mum. Cutting a long story short they helped to heal her quite miraculously! For some time I had had a keen interest in the psychic world and complimentary/alternative healing worlds. As most people thought I was a little obscure I kept it hidden (I hope I don't sound like a nutter!)
Needless to say I became quite good friends with these two people and they knew an awful lot about my interest in medicine and healing etc. They fascinated me how well they knew me and encouraged me to take it further. I was even recommended by them into a healing and medium circle for training as they felt i would enjoy it and find the real me. They are two spiritulist reverends. I would have liked to go but felt that my husband and certain family members were uncomfortable with the practise. Why are spiritulists made to feel outcasts?
However, at times I feel that I am drawn to it and things happen and thopughts enter my head which prove they were right and i am intrigued but I can't help wondering about my hubby who fears anything going bump in the night (so to speak).
Could someone advise what the training is like and how long it takes etc...
Many thanks. An anxious and intrigued person...
regards
Delamare:)
RE: Spiritual healing/ medium training
I don't have any useful advice but it is annoying that people are afraid of things they can't understand or explain logically. We'd get so much further if people just accepted and embraced without the need for scientific proof.
RE: Spiritual healing/ medium training
Hello Delamere
I am currently approaching the end of my first years training as a spiritual healer following the united spiritualists training package, it is a two year course and at the end i have to sit an exam and have an interview with the board to see if i am sensible and good enough to receive my certificate, which will enable me to go out into the wide world and treat anyone.

I hope this info will help you, it is nothing for them to be scared of at all, it is all natural.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your info it was a great help. Can I ask you though are you training as a healer and a medium or just a healer? Are the circles different depending on what you wish to study? I am at present a reiki practitioner and wondered if you are too? If so how much does it differ in treatment? Sorry to pester just interested for your perspective. Will try the links you gave me.
Cheers loads...

RE: Spiritual healing/ medium training
Hello Delamare,
Firstly, i always like it when people make comments like "hope i dont sound like a nutter" lol, because usually people who say these things have a very sound and reasonable judgement which will serve you well, there are many who become a little too "head in the clouds" i feel, but that is just my opinion.
Anyway, healing regardless of what form,be it Reiki or spiritual healing or just plain healing requests in your mind, all are heard by spirit, and it is spirit who administer the healing using us as conduit, or a channel, (tho i do not particularly like that word)
To be a healer means u must be mediumistic as it is spirit who give the healing as i said, so any medium circle would be beneficial to you.
Visualising meditations also will help a great deal, this is something that takes a lot of practise.
My advice,if you havent done so already, is to find a spiritualist church, many offer open circles for both mediumship(providing proof of survival of the personality after death) abd also Healing circle, and the two are different.
In medium circle you attempt to link with spirit and give mesages to people, and in healing circle you normally say a prayer to spirit asking them to come close followed by a guided meditation where you visualise yourself with your healing helpers/guides close and send healing to those who need it, usually on the healing list of the church.
This is done in many ways but all basically involve you picturing the person/s recieving healing.
It is then closed with a prayer of thanks to spirit.
This is very general and methods do vary immensely but this is the most common church form for distant healing.
There are other ways such as hands on healing for one to one etc,as i believe Reiki healers practise.
My knowledge of Reiki is limited so forgive me if this is not the case.
I hope this gives a little insight into the general idea of spiritual healing
Best wishes
