Hi Flowerlight, I would say that by meeting familiar people in your dreams, you are making connections. You may find that these people are members of your soul group or your guides. Often when we find someone familiar like that, it's because our spirit recognises them.
Yeah - it can seem very complicated, but also quite simple once we erase the complications we put on it all! And yep, I have a sense of humour about it all...it's the only way to be! I used to get frowned at for referring to my guides as 'guys', but that seems much more natural. My guys have to have a sense of humour with dumb old me around! [8D] (always miss the obvious...)

I have too little personal experience with this domain, but I think, before you connection with your spirit gude, you must "put to sleep" your Ego.
When you do this, then will your Higher I (whetever it been), help you to connect with your spirit gude.

Sorry to take so long to reply Mysticmoon, I think you can only develop if they exist in you to start with I personally don't believe that everybody can talk to and see their guides it's those that have a clairvoyant gift that communicate with their guides.

Developing seeing and meeting your spirit guides can take a long time, IMHO they will come when they are ready but ego has a lot to do with it! I have met a new guide just recently who is great to work with but my other guide introduced him to me which is a different way than I have ever met a guide before, before it has always been that they introduce themselves, but
My path with spirit guides started when I was young and I have always been aware of spirit guide and animal guides through my shamanism, It does take a while and it is hard but they will come to you when they feel you are ready to accept them and what they teach without question.

M so you belive that everybody can speak to their guides and by that I mean conduct a conversation with them?
