This is a form of sacred Bulgarian dance, which until a fw days ago I not heard of.

When I returned from Lundy in March I had the feeling that I needed to be walking, in natural surroundings on much more regular basis. So, every Sunday since then Coran and I have been going for walks in Richmond Park. There we noticed a group of people, doing a form of circle dancing, some of whom were dressed in white. In the centre of their cricle there was a radio cassette player with music which they danced and sang to.

After watching them from afar for a couple of weeks, I plucked up the courage to hand a note to one o their children who was sitting watching them. I did not really expect them to call, but was surprised to find that when I returned from Lundy again last weekend, there was a message for me to ring one of them back, which I did. The lady I spoke to offered to send me a CD Rom and leaflet explaining what it was about and invited me to join them in the Park just before 9 this morning, which I did.

It was a wonderful experience and very invigorating and enlivening. As the dance goes on for over an hour, it is also an excellent work out. Afterwards I felt really enlivened and full of energy. This seemed to be a wonderful way of connecting with our own inner Divine spark through feeling the energies of the Sun and nature. I will definately be joining them again next week.
