My Shaman spirit guide and Synchronicity

Hi everyone, I wasn’t sure where to put this posting, so playing safe with ‘general’. My life is going through some significant changes, I had a very difficult 2004 with work and relationships, but things are looking brighter now. I have also decided to start a Holistic venture with a friend I met at college last year, although we have only known each other 6 months, we feel a ‘connection’. About a month ago we were talking about our families, we both live in the Midlands and have done all our lives, but each have a side of the family which originated from Ireland. We then discovered that her Mum/Uncles and my Dad lived in neighbouring villages and although there is 15 years between them all, they attended the same school and are each aware of the other’s family name. Neither of us could believe what a small world it is, these were small remote villages in the West of Ireland about 45 years ago.
Yesterday I had a reading with a spiritual artist, he draw a picture of my spirit guide, who is a Shaman, also he told me things that really struck a chord and I felt very emotional afterwards. Even hours later, I was still feeling something, although can’t quite put my finger on what the feeling is. I have had readings before using tarot cards, but nothing has effected me like this. He also told me to believe and follow synchronicity. I spent most of last night trying to find as much information as I could on Shamans and synchronicity, so is the connection between myself and my friend synchronicity? Does anyone know of any good books/websites for either? Sorry if this posting is a bit garbled, but my head is still spinning from yesterday – I just feel compelled to find out as much information as possible.
