I have an angel who is with me all the time. He kept asking me if I needed a sign of his existance as I was having some initial doubts. I kept saying no and he kept asking so I said yes. The next thing I know as I'm sitting on the sofa in my living room I see a light to the right of my head. I slowly turned to look and hanging in midair about 4 ft from the ground was a silently glowing egg of light. My husband (who was sitting on the other side of the room, the glowing light between us, turned to look and we both stared with open mouths until *ping* it disappeared. I estimate it was hanging there for 5 seconds but it was very impressive!

Maria, the story of your daughter's meditation was magical! And what a good idea for a thread! (large pat on back...)
I wasn't sure what to put on here - been so many wonderful experiences in my life... giving life to my daughter is definately in the top ten and I suspect all of us mums can testify to that! Anyway, this one popped into my head tonight...
Some years ago, when I was just opening up to my spiritual possibilities, I was working with my teacher in her flat. My mother had died some months before and my father back in the 70s, so there was a lot of healing and clearing out to be done. So... I was talked into a light trance and my teacher asked me to see my parents. There they were, with Mum smiling and Dad in a light grey suit... I described them and said a mental 'Hi' and my teacher asked me to send some joy their way and watch what happened.
Well, that was the first but certainly not the last time I saw the effect that thought has! Dad's suit became a pure white and Mum glowed, and then both of them were glowing with radiant light and crystal sparkles like tiny rainbows shooting out from their auras...! The joy and love they sent my way in return had me in tears of course, but tears of joy and boy, did I 'clear out'!
Since then I feel sad when people persist on holding on to their loved ones long after the time to let go... if they could see the effect that simple joy and love has... I've tried to paint it, but earthly colours just don't match the pure brilliance of our souls' light... I've been priviledged enough to see some folks souls and oh boy, such a bright, bright light!!! Hi, I thought I would add a story of my own self enlightenment which doesn't match up to many of yours but has reawakened my own inner spirit. I had been with my husband for 17 years when I took the momentous decision of moving on. I realised that I spent all my time trying to make him happy, but realised that you cannot do that unless they are happy within themselves. Anyway I felt very alone and felt huge empathy with Robbie Williams song Feel that one of the lines is I want to feel real love in the home that I live in and I played it over and over until one day I realised that I had everything that I had ever wanted and all the love a person could ever need in my own home from my three beautiful boys who are 10, 7 and 3. Sometimes we take what we have for granted and don't always see the true worth of life because things get in the way. Thank you Robbie , I also feel the life running through my veins and I'm definately back and in contact with the living. I see the sky as blue and the sun as shining, life really can be a wonderful experience!
