Therapies such as hypnosis, psychic surgery, soul retrieval, craniosacral therapy, past-life regression, NLP, and Huna, to name only a few, are designed to bypass your natural and necessary opposition to intervention. They all put another person in the position of dictating your thinking and influencing the development of your soul.

The therapist, in each case, assumes that they have a better idea of who you should be than you do yourself, often with the best of intentions and a genuine desire to help. They give you reasons that you should agree to such manipulation. And that is a very powerful word: manipulation! The very definition gives you an idea of what is intended; that you submit to the actions of someone else in order that their intentions be carried out.

They give you the words you should use, guide your thoughts and visions and “help” you to create a new reality.

These things are totally your responsibility. Assistance that comes from outside yourself is interference. You, and you alone, are responsible for your own development and when you abandon that responsibility to someone else, you cease to grow.

This is in contrast to situations in which the words or actions of another person cause you to think about your own situation, while you remain fully cognizant of your surroundings and your decisions. When you are outside the realm of the manipulation of another you retain full control of your own development.

This is why we always recommend that everyone question everything. Accept nothing at face value. Allow it to roll around in your mind, allow the thoughts to ferment, allow yourself to look at it from every possible point of view. If it can stand up to your own genuine and sincere challenge and can still remain as truth after the exercises suggested above, you know that you have something real upon which to build!

Dear Energy at work, thankyou for your post. You offer valuable insight and information for me.

I have always had this theory and experience that the astral is not really a very pleasant place and I am often not in control when I am there.

The work I refer to having done there is having contact with entities which do not know they are dead, this seems to be the upshot of my experience and alot of them have suicided or have been killed. but when I tell them this, that they are no longer in a human body, they still continue on, stuck as it were in their cycle. Usually denying it strongly. Although one time I was contacted by a little girl who was lost in the bush, she was a school age girl and she was wandering around, trying to attach herself to someone, anyone. There was something familar about her and I realised she was a little girl which had been missing for some months and the police had been asking the public for help. I believed she was alrerady dead when I had contact with her.

Anyway I am very interested in your ideas about the astral level and and I agree with you.
What I would like more information on, if you don't mind, is your concept on us creating what we want there. Personally I believe this to be true, but have been dissuaded over the years because of all my astral experience.

I do not offer my services on the astral and believe I hold no desire to, however I may be wrong. I am really intersted in how you said we create what we want like masters, guides, evil spirits etc.

I do not wish to be involved in the way that I am on the astral but I always seem to end up talking to 'ghosts' or already passed over dead people. I have also come against people, like murders who are caught in a repition of what they did. Any thoughts here?
Also I find that I am sought out on the astral by dead people who want to know what is wrong with them or what has happened, but they do not believe me when I tell them. I use to be very afraid of these experiences but because they happen nearly every night I have come to accept them, However I am definatley open to the idea that they are self created by me.

Also I agree with you about healing. What do you think of my theory about dreams being astral experiences?

Any thoughts you can offer would be greatly appreciateed and respected.

The creation you refer to is a reflection of your own reluctance to accept the concept of death. Those you speak to every night refuse to accept that they are dead and at some level you also refuse to accept that death exists.

This is a healthy belief, because there truly is no dying except as it applies to the human body. The body is only ours to use for a short time but our soul and its development are a forever thing. And although the belief is healthy you are still struggling with it or you would not find yourself in the Astral trying to accept your own explanations.

The understanding of eternity and our place in it is staggering. We return over and over to the question of our own worth. “Who me? Worthy of unconditional love for eternity?” We have trouble believing that we are worthy of love at all sometimes, much less that we could be a part of a never-ending concept such as Spirit is. “God loves ME? You have got to be kidding!”

And then we have to incorporate death into the picture. That’s a really scary thing for some, especially those in prominently Judeo-Christian areas who question the established teachings regarding death and the subsequent reward or punishment. There is fear of death because what if they didn’t do everything “right?” Those of us who have been steeped in Christian dogma and then break away from it still have the leftover guidelines embedded in our consciousness. Sin. Repentance. Forgiveness. Heaven. Hell.

I do not mean to offend anyone here. Your beliefs are your own, but some of us have found another answer. What if:
· it matters not what actions we take because Spirit loves us unconditionally?
· there is no need for forgiveness because Spirit loves us unconditionally?
· the experiences that we choose for ourselves on earth and our responses to them determine the quality of our lives with no after-effects to follow us into another realm?
· reward and punishment are human concepts and have no basis of truth for Spirit?
· Spirit is bigger than all we can imagine, far surpasses any limitations we impose, is made up of many facets—one of which is you, and requires nothing of you other than your attempt to also BE unconditional love on earth?

Dreams and the Astral? Far too much emphasis is placed on the meaning of dreams. Our minds are active at all times and we often don’t know what to do with those thoughts, so we create! We mix and match experiences, random thoughts, and desires. What comes out is often quite unique. Dreams~

On occasion, Spirit does use our dreams to communicate with us, but in those events there really is little doubt about what the significance is. Spirit is far too wise to wrap their messages in codes or silly stories that we have to figure out. If they want us to know something, the indication is pretty darn clear.

Why would Spirit put a snake in the bathroom and hope you get some abstruse clue? To accept that is to limit Spirit far beyond belief! If you can accept that Spirit is as close as the air you breathe and the cells in your body, it is easy to accept that life is a constant conversation with those who work closely with us!
Take a minute to listen, then respond in kind.

We do not need to travel outside our bodies to do the work we are intended to do. Instead, we need to be fully in our bodies and participating with Spirit in the expression of our true selves—and that is Love.

Energyatwork, you have really helped me to see things clearly. I am intrigued at the idea of it all being my own creation, yet a part of me knows this to be true. I have always run the risk of delving into these areas with a voice in the back of my head telling me they are little more than distractions and are not needed for ones progression within the universe.
I have been accepting my idea that I do not need to do anything or train as anything or know any-one inparticualr for me to be able to do my lifes work. But it has been hard for me as so many people are 'something' and proclaim that it has helped them towards the path.

I have a strong feeling to do nothing, yet my ego kicks in and lumbers me with guilot for not being something or someone. Consequently I have trained in several different areas, but cannot find the fullfillment that I believe each 'title' accomplishment, would bring. This process then leaves me floundering and having no confidence in my self or abilities.
What is intutition to you, what is its place, is it just a side street or side effect of personal/spiritual work?
