Hi
Just need a bit of advice or opinions regarding these two situations
A client last week came for a reading, refused to give me her name and said that everything I needed to tell her would come from spirit. However, I am not a medium, dont advertise as one but as part of my ongoing development I do connect with spirit during some readings.
So not an easy reading!
I also do alot of Angel Readings, again it states that Angels Cards are used, a lady phoned today and I was passing on the angels that were coming around her, after 5 minutes she said it was not in anyway appropriate to her and she wanted to know exactly what people were coming into her life. Anyway I just refunded her.
So my question is what arent people understanding? Generally do people think that all psyhics and tarot readings are mediums?
And how do other readings deal with these situations? I think it just stressed me a bit as I had some experiences like this around 18 months ago and stopped reading for quite a while.
Thank you!

Hi
Just noticed that no-one had replied.
Do you explain to them initially what the tarot involves. How about saying that you are not a psychic/medium however that you are developing these skills gradually which will be encompassed into your work. That when you do tarot you work with the cards on a intuitive basis. I think the people coming to see you are expecting a bit much. I mean when you go to these mind spirit shows, they have a lot of mediums, psychics that also do tarot card readings, so therefore they probably expect this just from a tarot card reader. There is a bit of misconception here and misunderstanding on their parts.
As for the lady that refused her name, that is uncalled for which am sure made you feel uncomfortable. Did she not leave a name when she booked. I've never heard of that before !
Don't let these people put you off. Just tell them straight and also the ground rules so they cannot point a finger at you. You're obviously trying your best and you're going to get these odd balls once in a while, so don't let them put you down. Carry on what you enjoy most and keep positive.
Hugs ! x
I agree with heaven ~ spirit, make it clear what you can and cannot do.
Accept that for some people we will never be able to please them and also that there may be days when we "get it wrong." Or we perhaps do not interpret what we "see" so clearly. It happens to us all...if we are honest, that's life and human nature 🙂
Stay positive and all will be well. Trust that the "right" clients will be guided to you and remember that we can all learn something, even from the more challenging ones...and they from us 🙂

Hi Ellie,
you really need to let people know in advance what you can and can't do. This way you avoid any misunderstandings. I'm brutally honest with my clients; I tell them in advance that I'm not 'psychic' and I don't hear voices in my head. I just read the cards with the aim to provide empowering messages and guidance. If they don't like this, they can look for a different reader.
🙂
