Hello,

Maybe you’ll be able to interpret my dream/nightmare…

This happened in a kind of lab. I could see body pieces and mostly pieces of skin in containers (full of liquids). Someone was working on the body (cut in loads of parts) making analysis. Then, I managed to see the skull and face and that’s when I realised it was actually my ex-boyfriend. He had been murdered and the remainings of his body were being analyzed. There was a big focus of the pieces of skin (flat pieces like big sheets of paper) – all in that liquid. The strange things is that I didn’t wake up straight away when I was having this nightmare.

I didn’t watch anything on TV the day before that could explain the dream.
We split up about a year ago but are still in touch
Would really appreciate your input on that
Thank you
Lili

Hi Lili,

I had a gruesome dream involving body parts and an ex-boyfriend as well years ago. Mine was slightly different and it was whilst I was still with him. I dreamt that I was in the passenger seat as he was driving me home. For some reason he pulled over and we both got out to look in the boot of the car. He opened it and on one side there was a box with cut up body parts, nothing distinguishable, but vile, with not just the colour red, but also blue with yellowy bits of 'gristle'. On the other side was a pair of bloody lace-up white plimpsolls. We looked at each other, I think he was saying he had nothing to do with it. Then I started to run. As I ran, I then started to fly up towards what I think was heaven, which in my dream ended up as being a giant cathedral-like room, with people all in white suits sitting behind white desks, booking new people in. Then I woke up.

It was a horrible dream, but I interpreted it as my lack of trust of him. He'd told me a couple of lies and really let me down, so it was signalling the end of the relationship.

I'm no dream analyst, but if I was to guess, I'd say yours was about examining the parts of what went wrong with you and your ex, or mentally 'taking him to pieces'. Maybe you want to get 'under his skin' to understand him. Perhaps there's something you don't understand or feel you need an explanation for. The fact that it took part in a lab is intriguing... How did you feel? Were you shocked to see it was him, or were you interested in what the lab technician was doing?

Really interesting, I hope someone has some insight on this. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Tigerly,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience.. I think that at the moment I am analyzing our past relationship and I’m also trying to understand him as over the last few weeks it’s been impossible. He is the one who originated the break up but since wanted to get back together.. which made things a bit messy. After being confused for a good few weeks, I realised we had no future as a couple.. and I can’t believe I’m saying that as I deeply loved him and thought he one “the one”.

The funny thing is that after the nightmare/dream, I was not agitated or horrified (and I would be usually) so I found that a bit strange as well and felt a bit guilty about that. Also, I noticed that I forgot to mention the colour of that liquid.. there was loads of blue as well.. Which is strange as blue was present in your dream.

I read somewhere that when you see someone close to you who dies, it indicates that you need to keep some distance with this person, which makes sense for me.. Not sure if anyone heard more about this

Thanks again
Lili

How interesting that there was blue in your dream as well! I think with my own dream, it perfectly reflected that by telling me lies, he had 'murdered' the relationship and I felt repulsed by him for doing this.

With yours, judging from your real life circumstances, it is definitely an analysing thing. Perhaps keeping your distance is highly relevent, after all, it wasn't 'you' dissecting your ex in the dream, it was another person in the lab, you were just observing.

Would love to hear what others have to say about this, I think it's really interesting!
