Help me with this dream.

Hi, first of all I am new, but I told my mum about this dream, who is also a member of healthypages and she has been for a while, and she suggested that maybe I post it on here and see what responses I get. I'm not guaranteeing a terrific, amazing read. But for me, it was just a little unsual, considering I don't tend to have memorable dreams like this. I will state that firstly, my mum had a reading with a medium once and the medium suggested I do have 'special talents' just like my mum does, and that I will be able to connect to the spiritual world like she does. She said "I will drift away for a while, but I will come back" and I believe I've done my drifting and am now, safely, back with my mother.

Ok, so here's the dream. Anyone's interpretations would be appreciated and interesting, so, feel free to throw all your ideas and thoughts at me.

The first bit of the dream I don't really recall but I doubt it was anything overwhelming or memorable. All i know is I was with a friend, my closest friend, who I do have some awkward, yet very evident feelings for (Josh) and there were others there too, whom I don't remember. We were in some fort of British seaside town, though again, I can't be specific. I decided I wanted to head back home, and Josh, being the kind guy he is, offered to walk me back as he always does in reality too. 😀
We walked across the beach and I attempted to get up a sandbank and of course, was unsuccessful, Josh got to the top and laughed at my pathetic attempts, then came back down to help me up.
As we reached the top, to my left on a higher up sandbank, I saw what I can only really think to describe as a ghost. A ghost that I had seen previously during a dream through my sleep in the night time. The figure was quite sketchy and scratchy (not clear, like an old film) and he looked very dull and grey. Not as in his skin tone, but the whole of him. He was wearing a blue and white check shirt and a pair of dark jeans. He seemed quite normal and wasn't intimidating at all, but he did not acknowledge us.
I mentioned what I'd seen to Josh, who just brushed it off and carried on walking.
I remember next that we were in a building, heavily made up of glass. I can only assume because of the destination that it was the hotel I was supposed to be staying in.
I was still telling Josh what I saw and how I was a little on edge about it and yet still, he wouldn't take me seriously.
It wasn't until we were going down multiple staircases, and seeing the same man on each landing in the same position leaning against the back wall, that Josh began to join me in my skepticism.
I don't know why Josh felt the need to do the following, or quite what he thought might come of it but he retrieved a clean white sheet of paper from his pocket and began to rip sections off, before balling them up and throwing them to the landing down below, that we would be approaching next. He said "It's not that I'M scared. But this is a little weird, and I know you're scared and just wanna put you at ease, make sure it's clear down there before we go down the next lot of stairs." Nothing ever came of Josh's paper theory, it never occurred again in the dream, I just thought it was an odd thing for him to suggest, and then for him never to mention it or point out the balls of paper ever again. It baffles me.
So we continued, seeing the same bloke, who just looked very normal and laid back and non-threatening. He had dark hair and very clear blue eyes and was dressed in a dark jacket that looked like suede and dark jeans to match. He was also pretty pale.
Eventually Josh and I reached the room we were looking for and the man was there again this time with us and he invited us in as if it was his home. We were still weary, but we entered anyway but made sure to leave the door open.
All three of us, Myself, Josh and this mysterious man, were stood up. Josh was to my left, and the man was in front of us, but it was almost like a circle we were stood in.
The man said "Ignore him." and at this point I followed his eyes out the door to see the "ghost" I'd seen previously twice before in a doorway/stairwell a few floors below. Because of the building being highly made up of glass (including floors and walls) I could still see below the floor we were currently on. The man continued. "You see, he is cryptic. That's why he's following you, mate. (Referring to Josh) You're cryptic too, you are being cryptic with her. (Referring to me) "I'm a true believer in guardian angels."
Josh replied "What?.."
The man then said "I'm going to drop you in it." As he turned to me he smiled and said "Don't worry, he loves you."
That is the point when I woke up, obviously wishing it was all quite real.

The dream to me is not as strange as my mum seems to think. But I am intrigued by the man referring to his beliefs in guardian angels. I'm also intrigued by the sight of this "ghost" that I had happened to see before. I thought that was quite abnormal.
This dream I've described occurred during the day so around 10AM after I'd woken up and fell back asleep. The dream where I'd seen him before occurred during my usual sleep at night.
Obviously too, as I have these feelings for Josh, that he knows about, I'd like to know if the man's claim about Josh's love for me have any significance to my real day to day life. I assume not, because dreams often give you something you want that isn't real.

Do I have a guardian angel? Is this man my guardian angel? Or a spirit? Am I going to be OK? Does Josh love me? Is my life going to get better or worse? All these things I'd like to know as I'm experiencing Depression at the minute, and I'd like to know if I'm going to be happy and safe anytime soon.

I don't know. All help appreciated. Don't know if you'll get much out of it, but there you go.
All the time I was writing this, I feel a very cold sensation only on the left side of my body (above my shoulder) just thought I'd point that out.
