My son aged 13 had a dream about my partner.
He said he dreamt that my partner came to watch him in a show at school. He only remembers my partner being in the audience. He said the show involved piling eggs into a pile on stage and then the eggs collapsed and he couldn't see my partner anymore.
Hi,
It could be that your son is concerned that if he fails, in the eyes of your partner, then your partner won't stay around. Imagine the emotion that would be involved in balancing eggs on top of each other to make a pile - that could be an accurate description of the way he feels, but can't verbalise?
Eggs seem hard on the outside, but actually theyre pretty fragile and soft inside...maybe this applies to 13 year old boys too? 🙂 maybe it shows your son is ready to form a deeper relationship with your partner, now that he is approaching manhood himself 🙂 but he's not sure how to move from just being your partners girlfriends son, to knowing him better, and 'letting him in' iykwim. If that rings true maybe you could reassure him that your partner likes him, and you are so happy to see them getting on, maybe encourage some sort of appropriate male bonding activity 🙂
