If you were born in 1969 it is possible that you have Saturn in Taurus - so you would be having a Saturn transit yourself (Saturn square Saturn). This would mean that you would definitely be 'doing the weeding' too! Saturn transits are always challenging, making us work hard and face reality. The trouble is, with the first Saturn return, it feels like our world and the structures we have built are collapsing around our ears - as Saturn rules structures. We are challenged to find our true direction in life, be that personally or professionally (though most of us feel it in our professional world if we have Saturn in our seventh house it will affect relationships too). It is just plain HARD. Saturn is not about getting things the easy way, and many people struggle with the reality bite that they feel around their return - especially in today's modern world of quick returns and many things being expected or desired to materialise with ease.......... the 'microwave' culture as I like to call it. Saturn does not microwave anything. He is a slow cooker.

No time to write lots more now, a complicated subject I'm afraid!

Hi Rachel,

Well, I thought I should add that the Saturn return chart is the chart for the next 29 years, just as the solar return chart is the chart for the next year. So its quite an important chart to work on.

I'm just about to scrutinise my one and see whether or not I faced all of my demons.

Hello Binah,
Thanks for your reply, So charts are easy for you to do, but as a newbie to all this astrology stuff perhaps you could point me in the right direction for more information on charts both for myself and my partner?

Hi
This is just to say that astrology is not an easy subject, and alas it's not easy for me. Having studied the subject for a long time and attended many classes, bought many books and talked to lots of people I have picked up bits along the way, but most of all I have a passion for the subject i.e. it won't go away. I started off reading about it in Prediction magazine and then bought a book by Derek and Julia Parker that enabled me to start drawing up charts, for myself, my family and my friends. It was hard work working alone, but then I found out about classes that were held in the area I lived in.

Also there are area astrology groups, correspondence courses and books where you can learn the nuts and bolts of astrology - once you learn the meaning of the planets - some keywords - the signs i.e. Aries to Pisces - the elements, the modes and the aspects then you can start to put it all together - it all takes time. Just start with drawing up your own chart - physically draw it so you get a feel for it - work out your strongest element i.e. fire air earth or water. As said before you can get your chart from www.astro.com. Just take one step at a time.
