Hi everyone,
I'll get the ball rolling by suggesting there are perhaps three levels of interest in Astrology, and you might like to say where you are:
* Know virtually nothing about it, except for my sun sign eg "I'm an Aries, or "I'm a Gemini, but would like to know more.
* Know a bit, but am no expert (I fall into this category).
* Those who can construct and read birthcharts, of which there were several such members a few years ago, but they haven't posted on HP for a while now, though old threads can still be found via Search.
So hands up (or down onto keyboards;)) and let's get some good discussions going. Please feel free to either post a reply here, or start a new thread.

I fall between 2 and 3. I confess to not being sure what you mean by *construct* a birthchart? I cannot do them by hand, but I can get one created and then make sense of some of the things on there.
When I have more time I would love some willing guinea pigs to practise on, so I am looking forward to this forum taking off 🙂 I can read the basics from a chart, such as sign and house positions, but I do not know much about aspects and how that colours the chart............

i fall into the middle one too. of course, my chart shows my impatience and non stickability to a subject... i wanna run before i can walk - always!
my chart indicates (apparently) much trapped energy thats gotta come out some time (lots of squares)... challenges, in fact, one would worry about the person with this chart, except that its mine :D.
oh and my transit musta involved mercury and possibly the moon! 😉

I fall into the first category. I know nothing about astrology except which star sign i am and which traits are supposed to be connected to it. I have to admit not really understanding charts and alignments but the subject does interest me and i would like to learn more. I look forward to reading everyones posts.:D

I've used the wrong word, obviously. I did say I only knew a bit! 😉
What should it be, calculate? Create, as used byyourself?
EDIT: I just had a quick look on Google, and it seems compile is another possiblity. Interesting they all begin with C.
