on the cusp means you were born very close to the end of the sun being in one sign (Libra) and therefore very close to the sun being in the next sign (Scorpio)

It means you have some qualities of both signs

I am really sorry, but I have to disagree here. There are almost no people who are truly born 'on the cusp'.......... to be on the cusp you would have to be born at the time that the Sun changed sign, and then your exact time of birth would be critical in determining your Sun sign. Yes, it means that you are born at a time when the Sun is close to the beginning of one sign and therefore close to another sign. However, the Sun can only be in one sign at a time. If it is Libra it is in Libra, in Scorpio in Scorpio - it cannot partake of both signs, this is atrologically impossible.

What is possible, however, and is often the case, is that you may have either Venus or Mercury in the other sign - as these two planets can only move a certain number of degrees away from the Sun (as they are closer to the Sun than the Earth they appear from our point of view to always be close to the Sun).

If you would like me to look at your chart I can tell you which sign your Sun falls into and which signs Venus and Mercury are in in your chart - this may help clear up your confusion.

Cusp? Unlikely.

Hi...Quite new to HP, so please bear with ...;)

I've always been interested in ' true ' astrology, as opposed to generalisations that appear in the newspapers...but have to admit I don't know much about this subject. Have been told that I'm a Libra/Scorpio cusp !? Can anyone please elaborate !!?? My b/day is October 23rd...

I agree with sian. It is virtually impossible to be truly on the cusp.

Now Oct 23 really isn't enough. For example if you were 30 year old, in 1977 Oct 23 was firmly in Libra. But that's only if you were born in the UK.

On your closing line I actually prefer aum~ shanti, but if you are a Buddhist, om is fine.
