Do you believe the end is coming or not. I personally can't believe things before they happen. But since all is possible. I am starting to freak. Mostly though because the end is "supposedly" coming 2 days before my birthday. I would not want to die before my birthday. Of course most chances are i won't. But I feel uncomfortable. Don't you?
There's been many discussions over the years about 2012 on these forums, and the general concensus seems to fall into 2 categories...
a) a load of rubbish
b) there will be a 'spiritual' change happening
but very few actually believe the world will be ending.
If you show me the evidence that says the world is going to end, I'll let you know if it's true or not.

Just a load of hysteria. Belief in dates pointing to the end of the world constantly go in and out of fashion. So when 21st Dec comes and nothing happen, all those 2012 books will be taken off the shelves, and new "revelations" will come into fashion for the next generation of guilible readers. I can see it now, they (the professional authors) will say there was a miscalculation due to the effects of human consciousness and it will now be 2016. Just in time for a new round of books to be printed and another ancient culture to be exploited.

There have been various end-of-the-world predictions from Christians (virtually always fundamentalist ones) at times, but the hype about 21 December 2012 has no connection at all with Christianity.
Could this thread please be moved from the Christianity forum to somewhere more appropriate - maybe where there have been some other discussions on 21/12/2012 and the Mayan calendar?

Very true, why is this in the Christian section? Prehaps TMO made a mistake. I still would of replied regardless of which forum. If it was moved prehaps more people will join in 😀
