Can anyone out there help me with this little problem! As some of you may know, I am trying to conceive (not my month this month, but hey ho). Thing is, we have booked a holiday to Egypt (diving mainly) in May and my period (if I am unlucky and it comes) is slap, bang in the week that I am away.
When I was younger and not on the pill and wanted to avoid not having a period on holiday, I got some tablets from the doctor which delays your period. You take them throughout your holiday and two days later after you stop taking them, your period arrives.
Now, I wondered if I got these tablets from the doctors, would they mess up me trying to conceive. I understand my cycles may be out, but other than that, would my body be disrupted in any other way. Bearing in mind, your period arrives 2 days after you stop the tablets. I know I should ask my GP and I will do, but wondered what anyone of you thought.

If you want my humble and honest and strictly personal opinion and I wanted to conceive then i wouldnt mess about with anything that would delay my cycle....mooncups and inserts can help with the diving bit tricky if you are only a pad girl though...it obviously does mess with your cycle and your next month would probably be ok, but if you are already having problems i would be inclined to leave well alone... sorry probably not wht yo wanted to here but it is just my opinion...
Also look on the bright side you are probably gona ovulate between now and then so you may get caught anyhow and then problem solved!

I agree with Tracy.
I think that the tablets that they give you to suppress a period are contraceptive, so if they mess you up, you may need to use something else (i.e. condoms) for a couple of months until your cycle is sorted.
