I had my Nove fitted a couple of weeks ago. But still struggling with bad cramps...really bad...even have to bend down and stop if i'm walking...it continues for 10-12 seconds at a time and happens roughly about 20-30 times a day. I have my check up in another 4 weeks time but i am not sure if i can wait for that long. Even have to take a painkiller sometimes.
I had a Gynefix for 5 years until begining of this year and had to get it removed (really wished i could keep it longer). It suited me perfect and fitted Mirena after that...Mirena didn't suit me at all...cramps all the time...even prolonged my period for more than 3 weeks...weight gain...so i ended up with removing if after 3 months...was absolutely nightmare...And Nova T380 this time...i really want it settled as i am sick of worrying about pregnancy...i just need another 2 years and i will have my second child...
does anybody else experience bad bad cramps with Nova T380?
does anybody know any other hormone-free contraceptive method apart from coils that i can use for 2 years or so...

and also does anybody know what clinic fits Gynefix? My GP told me they sopped manufacturing Gynefix...i am more than happy to have Gynefix again...

Bayanaa, Please go back to the doc now. It sounds like the cramps may be your body trying to expel the Nova. You can't go on like this, it definately isn't doing you any good.

If you do a search for Gynefix, it states that the drug was updated in May 2009, so it's obviously still being manufactured. If your GP won't fit it, how about trying a local Family Planning Clinic? Not sure I would be willing to go through all this pain to avoid pregancy - can't your partner take some responsibility?

Thank you for your responses. I will contact local family planning clinic to find out if they have Gynefix. and want to move to GGynefix straight after this...if i can't fint it...i will get this removed...i think
i will let you knwo girls...fingers crossed...hunt for rare Gynefix is started..
