what works for u?

I was on the pill a few years ago. Infact I have been on a few of them because when I am on them I have no sex drive at all which is horrible as my hubby and I have a fairly good sex life. Neither of us like condoms basically because when it gets to the point of needing it him putting it on kills the notion for me not to mention we both hate the smell and feel of it. He was booked to have a snip but due to his phobia of hospitals he freaked out so I had to cancle it. I was thinking of the injection/implant that lasts 5 years but I remembered a thing a couple of years ago where ladies were falling preg after 3 years and there was a whole hoohaa on news and all about it..... please if uve any ideas or thoughts can you let me know. Im fairly open to ideas at this point

Well you could look into Neem Oil. I can't say anything about how effective or safe it is, I just mention that as a lead I was given. If you find out anything more do please let us all know.

The other possibility that has been mentioned is wild yams. Apparently this was the original oral contraceptive, which pointed the way towards hormone-based methods.

Again, just a lead, but please don't come knocking on my door if it doesn't work or makes you grow stripes.

Funny!

I don't have any other suggestions other than, are you sure your hubby couldn't handle the snip?, maybe have a chat with his GP about his fears, or try some hypnotherapy or something, sorry not much help, I don't take the pill as I don't like pumping that crap into my body...excuse the pun!! Good luck!

hi paula
have you tried evra patches?
they are so handy u stick it on like a nicotine patch, i put it on hip as not seen, but just have to change once a week and the 4th week remove for menstruation then apply one week after and repeat, because its same day every week its easy to rem and u even get stickers for diary with it. Because unlike the pill they are not consumed they just go directly to blood stream it is not as bad for you. I recommend you try but it may not suit you!

well yeh u get them on prescription. i dont know how they will affect you hormonally, i dont find them too bad at all. one friend hated them cos fluff got stuck round patch from trousers lol that didn't bother me! advise you to change sides u stick it on each week cos skin gets little sensitive if covered all the time. contraceptive nurse said if she were younger she would use this option too.
