Hi, i went for my smear test today, it was horrible. very painful and still sore now.
the nurse had a hard time geting my test done as my cervix has moved to a anterior cervix. does anyone know what this means?
i have a lot of adhesians and wondered if this is somthing to do with it??

I had a smear a while ago, and the nurse couldnt find mine???? Eventually she did but said it had moved, nothing to worry about though. I found it strange, a little uncomfortable and twiddle my thumbs as it took longer than usual.
Maybe thats what it has done, moved.

It just means that the womb has tilted slightly, meaning the the cervix is not central to the top of the vagina. It is extremely common.

My nurse has asked me to cough and once I even had to jump up and down before a smear, but she always gets there in the end.

Oh, have never heard of this, very interesting. Froggy, hope you will feel better soon, not nice to have a smear but best to have it done and out of the way.

Love & blessings,

Rachel
