To do or not to do?
Are they dangerous if used in moderation? (say for example, no more that 5 mins at a time for just a month, 1-2 times a week).
Also, tanning creams that are sold at sun-bed establishments? Bad for you? I know they are supposed to speed up the tanning process, but not sure about how good they are for you.
???
RE: Sun Beds...
There was a dr on tv a while ago (either on This Morning or Richard & Judy, can't remember which), and he said that sunbeds are not good. He said that to have more than 1 or 2 a year could seriously cause skin damage.
As for the creams to speed up the tanning process, I would think that they would exacerbate the dangers of sunbed use.
Why not try a fake tan lotion, apparently they are much better than they used to be years ago. They don't streak or smell nasty anymore!
I prefer to be pale and interesting ... well pale anyway!

RE: Sun Beds...
:)Hello,
I would have to agree with mrs b, there not good for you at all...........Although saying that they are in many beauty shops?? Why is that? Money...money or isits becausethe client request them?
Ive done a beauty course and whilst doing it my tutor could not tell us enough on how bad sun bedsare.....However alot of people do us them.... Ive even used them....
We would be all wrinkle free if it wasnt for sun damage, and many other things of course..
take care

RE: Sun Beds...
I have to agree, I know that Sun Beds are not good. I have used them in the past though, and have to say will use them occasionally if there is a big event.
But faking it just is good, and wont give you skin damage, cancer, experiment with a few. I use st Tropez, Clinique, but some of the shelf shop brands are good too. You can get subtle ones like holiday skin, which is mixed in a moisturiser.
But on the hand, what is in the fake stuff, those chemicals cant be good for you too!!
I think we all have to be english roses, maybe better thantangotastic queens!
