There's been a well-responded-to post by GreenGecko here recently with a similar issue, so perhaps you should find it and take a look.
I think it was posted under digestive health, if that helps.
However, if it's over the whole area of your glutes, then the things that spring to my mind are synthetic underwear and washing powder - could these be causing a skin reaction in any way?
Best wishes with it,

That's exactly it, Moonfairy - thanks!
I'm supposed to be working on my skyscraper design, and didn't give myself time from my "schedule" to find it myself....but I keep checking back online like a naughty girl, so I may as well have done in the first place! lol

It affects at least 5% of the population and is more common in men than women. There are many different causes and it is a symptom, rather than a diagnosis. It's important you see a doctor, so that the correct treatment can be given. Causes include allergy, threadworm, haemorrhoids and fungal infections. If a cause is found, it is usually easily treatable with anti-fungal cream, or antibiotics. Often a change in lifestyle can help. Persistent scratching of the anal skin can damage the skin and make it more likely to develop a skin infection in that area.
Or it could be just something very simple, I have heard of people going to the doctor and being told that they are justnot cleaning the inside of the bottom correctly. I have been using wet wipes for 5 years now, If you wipe your bum after going to the toilet with tissue, you will think its clean but then wipe it with a wet wipe, you will see its not.
