I have thin, dry, brittle hair plus dry, flaky scalp.
I know dietary intake is the answer but in the meantime, what carrier oil(s) would anyone reccomend that would
- Moisturise the hair
- Not leave it sticky
- Hair feel smooth to the touch
- Retain body of the hair
- Can leave on permanently rather than just wrap under a towel for a few hours
- Moisturise the scalp as well?
Is jojoba the best solution? Any other suggestions please?
I tried Grapeseed oil thinking it was light and not sticky but I'm not that happy with the results.

RE: Looking for a "leave on" moisturising hair oil
hi Peter
I have just finished an indian head massage course and i can honestly say that the best oil i would recommend to use on your hair would be Jojoba oil. You can leave this in overnight and rinse off in the morning and your scalp and hair will be better, as Jojoba oil is the body's own natural moisturiser. Failing this i would recommend a conditioning treatment that has a high keratin content.
Hope this helps.

Helen:)
RE: Looking for a "leave on" moisturising hair oil
Thanks Helen. I'll give the jojoba a try then. I don't know of any products with high keratin content. Are you aware of any in the shops? Or maybe I can create a blend if I can get the ingredients. Mmm.....I'll do some research on ingredients.
Best wishes
Peter

Aveda Elixir is a leave on conditioner made from plant extracts.
