I have started last month to treat my face every morning with honey.
As soon as I wake up, go to the bathroom, wash my hand and gently rub some clear honey all over my face. It feels a bit weird at first to have a sticky face but it's worth it!
Leave to work for at least 15 minutes, 30 minutes is better and then rinse with lukewarm water. Finish off by drying your face with a very soft fabric (whatever you do don't rub it to your skin!) apply your normal moisturiser. You'll feel the difference immediately, I promise!

The reason why it works is because the honey is antiseptic and will get rid of any impurities on your skin. I need to find my list of properties for honey, I'll post it later.

Honey's properties

I've just found a brilliant website on the honey's properties. Save me a lot of time to gather all my info scattered in a few different books that I have....

Honey - Healing Properties

"Treatment with honey is called apitherapy, which includes replenishing energy, enhancing physical stamina and improving immune systems. Honey also is considered to have a calming effect on the mind and promotes sleep. Honey also helps indigestion and has sometimes been used to treat cardiovascular disease and respiratory complaints. A thin coat of honey can be applied on the skin to disinfect and heal minor skin wounds and chapped lips."
"Honey creates a moist healing environment that allows skin cells to regrow across a healing wound flush with the surface of the wound, preventing deformity of the skin. (If a dry scab forms on a wound, the skin cells can only grow across the wound deeper down where it is moist.)"

I didn't know there was so much about honey! Amazing! I love it when I think I know something but in actual fact, I know nothing! 🙂

Lots of love, Una

After reading your thread, I started using honey and the feeling is just great. Please let me know if you have any other herbal therapies for the face. Thank you.

Hi, you can also try other supplements such as collagen and Hyaluronic Acid. Many of my female friends have used those which they are very satisfied with.
