Does anybody know a formula of Thyroxine that contains no animal products?
For example, no lactose or stearates or gelatine capsules?

I'm no expert on nutrition etc. but I seem to remember that the late Jack Schwarz wrote in his book "It's Not What You Eat But What Eats You" that Dulse is preferable to Kelp for stimulating the thyroid; that kelp can, in fact, have rather the opposite effect...
Jack Schwarz never really got the recognition he deserved but he really was way ahead of his time. I went to all of his UK workshops many moons ago... He was a super-accurate aura reader, psychic, medical intuitive as well as a naturopathic doctor who knew the body inside out...
While kelp contains iodine, a constituent of thyroxine, it does not replace the hormone thyroxine, T4 which can only be prescribed by a medical doctor. In the NHS they usually only prescribe the artificially made form, Levothryoxine, which is not extracted from animals as Armour Thyroid is.
As for it's tablet packing materials, I am not sure of a variety which is vegan. One has to inspect the paperwork in the box itself and you would need to ask a pharmacist to do that for you. As far as I am aware Levothyroxine only comes in tablet form, not as capsules or gel. The quantity of hormone is so tiny, the tablet has to be made up with some filler and that is not listed in the BNF.
