An interesting (and heart-warming) story - but the diet is mentioned only in passing!

I watched this last summer. Very heartwarming. I seem to remember the Dad didn't know he was diabetic, and that low carb saved him from an early death.
I have a good friend, Type 1 diabetic, which developed in her late 40's. she had struggled with her weight for years, but once diagnosed and under control with insulin, she went low carb and lost 10 stone in a year. She is now 73.
