Hello, This is my first post, I have hadgraves eye for years, and the old gland seems to be fine for ages then it kicks off. I had loads of blood tests when my eyes started and all were normal. some years later I got one very high overactive test back, got put on medication and it went straight back to normal, came off meds and still normal, had regular blood tests .. normal. so from eyes starting to now (aprox 15 years) my bloods have been normal when I have tests, apart from this one way out test about 4years ago, and the one I had a couple of weeks ago after I had a pain at the back of my eyes (now gone again)
Right, first thing I wondered is, if it is an autoimune thing, can it be restarted bychest infections? my doctor seemed to think I was a bit loopy to ask, but the last time I got a high reading I had just recovered from a chest infection (as I had this time.)
