I was working with a person a very long time ago and he was shouting in my face & constantly having a go at me that everything I did was wrong. He was very aggressive and almost throwing things at me at one point.
One time he was really shouting at me and it was hard to fight back the tears so I dashed off and disappeared into the nearest toilets to have a good cry.
I'm even slightly embarassed to admit it to be honest because it makes me look like a right softie.
If it was now I would probably fight back and have left completely.
Anyway when I returned he started trying to pacify me like a small child saying things like 'what was that all about' and 'why are you crying?' like trying to console a child.
I think this is very manipulate and pretty disgusting. I am so annoyed at myself that I fell for it as well.
He even had the cheek to say you just need to toughen up like he knew what he was doing and enjoying it. I think this is pretty sick.
What do people think about this ??
I'm pretty sure, judging from responses to your previous posts, that you're pretty well aware of what we would think. Which makes me wonder why you are asking.
Actually no I'm not sure what you would think.
You might say that this is all external stuff that doesn't belong to me and I shouldn't be effected by it.
It is wrong what they've done and they know it is. But they don't care. They think it's funny.

Actually that's pretty much what I wasn't saying.
Since this happened some time ago, i.e. by your own admission you would act differently now, I am wondering why you bring it up. Do you need closure from it? What would you say to this person if you met them now?
Not sure why but I remembered it. I think I was embarassed more than anything by how I reacted and how I let this person manipulate me.
If it was now I would probably stop it in its tracks and be nasty back.

Why would that help the situation?

Exactly...that makes her no better than him! No moral high ground there.

And, I suspect, it wouldn't even make her feel any better.
I understand it, superficially, as a form of revenge but it is immature. A better solution would be turning the negative experience into a positive and emerge stronger and more empowered but I realise that may be an unlikely outcome given the predispositions here.
Since this kind of experience seems to recur a lot to Poppy-summer, if that were me, I would look at what I was doing to possibly trigger this or attract it in the first place (since it is not a normal, everyday experience for most).
I agree. But I wish she would engage with this, rather than us simply talking about her.
Are you there, Poppy-summer? Come and join in.
It has all been said before on her other threads on this same topic. I think I will bow out now.
I see what you mean. Revenge solves nothing.
I've asked myself loads of times how I've managed to attract this sort of thing.
I think it means I need a big healing to have the final closure from all of it so I can stop talking about it. Hahaha

I'm aware I'm repeating myself, but I really advise you to look into soul retrieval. I'm sure there are other ways to deal with this, but soul retrievals are the one I know about. I would suggest that you're not up to the stage of 'final closure' - if only because you are clearly still very hurt by these incidents. If you were not, you would not be thinking of hurting others in return.
