Hiya Guys
My 14 year old came to me today and said he was having probs sleeping, when I asked why, he was reluctant to tell me, but eventually said it was because his testicals were itching really bad. He assures me he has not slept with anyone, so I'm rulingout STD's at this stage.
I'm thinking could it be pubic hair growing, would that cause an itch? I've told him to shower more, keep the area clean and very dry and add talcum powder.
Can you help me guys, offer some advice what it is, what he should do? He's swore me to secrecy so I can't ask his dad. I'm just proud he managed to come to me (mum) with such a personal problem......you know what teenage lads can be like.

It's quite likely to be jock itch, which is a fungal infection. Lamasil cream is good for this and can be bought at the pharmacy.

Thanks for the heads up, I will pop to the chemist to get him the cream, I am sure my son will really appreicate it.
I had to laugh though, a male problem on a male board and a female replys with a good answer.:D
