Hi all, i,m recovering from a back problem, still get the odd day i can,t move, but just in the last week or so i have noticed a numb patch on my left thigh just above my knee, its so numb i can,sounds bad, stick a cocktail stick point into the numb area and draw blood and not feel a thing,also my left big toe wont move,i,m telling it to move but wont,all the other toes move on the left foot, i,m feeling i have to make an extra effort to move my left leg as it feels so heavy, anyone else had this problem, paul

I've been taught that numbness indicates a problem with the nerve which serves the area in question. I'd have a look in the internet to see what you can find but I'd also go and see your G.P asap.
