Since my boyfriend started working again full-time after a long period of not working his left arm gets numb and tingling and he says its sore because its numb. Usually my first thought would be a heart attack but this has been going on for two months on and off and sometimes it gets numb in bed. People in his family have had a history of holes in their heart and he is unfortunately a smoker but not a heavy one. Any ideas?He is just waiting for his health card in the mail and then we are off to the doc for sure!!

Not a time for conjecture nor is anyone here qualified to diagnose - get checked out by a physician. Not sure why you need to wait for a card. Hopefully it is easily 'sorted' and could be stress-related, but, as I said, not a time for speculation.
Definately needs to see a Dr as soon as possible.
But there are many reasons why someone can suffer from numbness in the arm that are not associated with heart or circulation problems.
