I keep randomly waking up with numb legs. Sometimes its just one, sometimes its both. I woke up last night and they were REALLY numb and it took a while to get them back. Now this morning I have a pain in my groin and Im paranoid about DVT. Can pins and needles and numbness have the same effect as sitting static for hours with regards to blood clots?
One more note, I have the head of my bed propped up as I suffer from acid reflux at night so wouldnt this help keep the blood to my legs??
Im a 24 year old healthy woman with the circulation of a 90 year old....[&o]
RE: Numb legs during the night
For peace of mind, go visit the doctor - in addition it could be a minor condition called restless leg which presents similar symptoms - a good reflexologist would be able to treat the reflex on the foot which corresponds to this problem.
I would imagine blood flow to the bottom of your legs would require your legs to be lower than your heart, so raising your head end would help, also lowering your leg end, all of which I'm sure would make for an uncomfortable nights' sleep - good luck!
