Hi,

Does it look like a long red patch? Almost Ulcer like? Any Tummy probs? if so I would go & see your GP and have it checked. Mouth Ulcers arise when our immune systems are weak.

Get some Bonjela from the chemist to ease the pain if it's stopping you from eating or eat some natural liquorice (kind from health food shops not ones that come with sherbert hehehe). Chew liquorice until it's very soft then swish it around your mouth like a mouth wash.

Hope you feel better soon

Hi,
I'd advise you see your Gp without delay, just to be on the safe side, in case it is anything suspicious. It does sound as though it might just be where a tooth rubs? Have you seen your dentist recently? They too would be able to check this out for you and would refer you to your GP anyway if concerned.
Hope all is soon sorted 🙂

There is nothing worse than a sore mouth 🙁 Or at least that is how it seems when we are suffering!

Good to hear you are off to the dentist soon. I have found that gargling and swooshing around mouth, with Aloe Vera juice to be very helpful, you can sometimes get a good offer in Holland and Barrett. It might be worth a try as it's very soothing 🙂

Let us know how you get on.

PS Love your avatar pic, I saw Bruce in 1985...brilliant. Love to see him again!

Have you ever looked at Chinese Traditional Medicine. As one part of diagnostics they look at the tongue and that helps them assess, along with taking of pulses, observation, and a questionnaire, the constitution.

Definitely go to your Dr as well as it has been going on too long and needs to be looked into more thoroughly.

Pleased your dentist suggested this and I am sure (as I can be) that he is right, and it's just down to a tooth rubbing. It will be good to have your mind put at rest and hopefully get the problem resolved once and for all 🙂
Do let us know how you get on at the hospital.
Positive thoughts on their way to you.

If you mark the location of it on some pic of a tongue (from Internet)
and post here as attachment, I can arrange certain points to work on
like in:

https://www.healthypages.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=568553&postcount=10

and
what kind of soreness: burning, pain, etc.

It is quite possible this is due to a food intolerance - ulcers on the tongue are one of the symptoms. With this one being a semi-permanent fixture - if it isn't a tooth rubbing on it - it could be something that you are eating daily, like wheat, dairy, or something else. I get an enormous ulcer if I have to take tetracycline antibiotic, so I know how horrid it can be.

To get this tested, you can try a test kit at home which tells you whether food intolerance is positive or negative. FoodScan test kits are obtainable here but there are other tests available. I have had excellent results with the Foodscan assessment and avoiding those foods that proved positive. If it is positive you will then have to find out what food is causing the problem - and this costs quite a lot.

If this is the case then probiotics are essential to help heal your gut wall, so that the allergens stop being absorbed. Liquorice and aloe vera also help. You will need a pproduct from a quality company which contains at least 20 billion bacteria per day to make a difference. It will need to be kept in the fridge of the healthfood shop or you can purchase from here.

Are you taking a quality multivitamin/multimineral? If you are finding it hard to eat you may be becoming deficient and it will then be harder for your body to heal. PM me if you want some suggestions.

Hope it gets sorted soon.

Love and Light

Caroline

There are some important cause of red dots on tongue..Vitamin Deficiency: Red spots on tongue are seen in cases where the body suffers from an acute shortage of vitamin B12. The best remedy for this is including vitamin rich foods such as citrus fruits in the daily diet.for this.. You can treat red dots on tongue naturally in the comfort of your homes. The natural treatment begins with dental hygiene. Try to keep your mouth, especially the tongue, neat and clean. Brush your teeth and clean the tongue with a tongue-cleaner at least twice a day. Rinse your mouth well with water after eating anything. You may use antacids like Maalox and Mylanta, and antihistamines such as benadryl instead of water,
