I agree with sunanda.
My main op was 14 years ago and the inconvenience of it all is miniscule now compared to the final result and the positive effects it had for me.
You're lucky if you can take yours off. I had permanent braces for a year and a half to straighten my teeth. I think the lisp will be slight, and people will only notice it if you point it out. The only thing I would suggest is to do exactly as your dentist says, because mine took a really long time even following all the right directions. http://familydentalcentertn.com/
