Hi
This might be a long one, so I will thank you now for taking the time to read it!
A year ago today I had to have a biopsy on a 'lump' in my breast. This was on the Monday. The previous Friday my GP had given me strong anti biotics as he thought it was an abscess. The biopsy was extremley painful. Around 45 minutes later I began shaking uncrontrollably, I thought I must have been in shock from the pain. How wrong I was! Over the next couple of days my temperature was up and down like a yo yo, i was passing thick blood, had statitus (cant spell that one!) type pains, just under my ribs was so stiff i felt like i had done 1000 sit ups. I rang the doctors several times but the treage(?) nurse kept fobbing me off. I was wretching all the time, even had lime green sick! my back ached like mad. On the following saturday, i lay in bed knowing i should have been in hospital, as i shut my eyes all the pain seemed to just stop and I felt like I was floating on a fluffy cloud, i cant really decsribe the feeling any other way than 'serene' It was lovely, i really didnt want it to stop. i slept for while after this and from the moment I woke up I knew I was starting to get better. On the Monday I finally saw a doctor, my pulse rate was sky high and blood test results showed that my gall bladder had been inflamed, i had damage to my pancreas, my liver and bile ducts amongst other things. One doctor says i had cholengitis, another says Pancreatitus. There was no evidence of gall stones. It took me a long time to recover fully from this, the worst thing about it is, I believe that when i had the biopsy, some pus from the abcess leaked into my bloodstream and gave me Septicaemia, the doctors deny it, but cant excactly tell me what it was/is. If I am right, if the first doctor i saw had not given me anti biotics, i might not have lived to tell the tale. So thank you Dr Adams from Northwich........You paid it forward!

Has anyone else had anything like this? I Would love to know excatly was wrong with me , also was the hospital negligent? What would you have done?
Thanks for reading my story:)
Alison 🙂

RE: Septicaemia? Pay it Forward

Hi
Thanks for your response, I was hoping that someone who had been diagnosed with 'S' would respond, if you dont mind me asking, what where your symptoms? I was ill for a good few months with it although it. I am very curious as to why the doctors deny that the symptoms all point to'S'. People outside of the NHS all say yes, it is possible that the biopsy could have started it, and yes the sympltoms are that of 'S'. I just feel that they are covering up.
Any other info or advice would be much appreciated.
I am only trying to pinpoint the illness and its cause for my own piece of mind.
Thanks
