Hello. I'm a sports massage therapist. I run from my own home clinic. I take lot's of care in washing my hands before a massage, and use hand sanitizer to. Even in a massage i will stop and just wash my hands a little. I have now even just started to wash my clients area before i massage with warm water.
For some really weird reason, 2 of my clients have had a localized area of lots of red spots. They do not itch them, but it looks horrid. Iv changed my oil from when it first happened to a client, and now its happening again? I am lucky the clients are good willed and will not take me up on it much. If this keeps happening i'm going to get a bad reputation
Any ideas why the spots are coming? They last for around 4weeks (they die down by the 2week)

I'm no expert on this but I wonder what oils you have been using? And did you change supplier or stay with the same one?

Oops trying doing everything right and then this happens....trying too hard. Just relax!
You seem overtly worried about cleanliness. It is desirable and understandable but it might be a shade too obsessed and riddled with worry of exactly what has come to be.
If you look back , you will find that you have always been a bit too cautious, that no body should catch any germs, everything should be honkey dorey...one can't be too careful...and reputation depends on it...etc
All these fears have come to fruition that's all. Relax! your practice is good enough for anyone that comes to you. Your worry seems to have manifesyted the red spots. Relax deeply within and see the fears that have started it off.Don't judge those fears and you will see as you embrace your own doubts and fears...the entire situation softens.

sounds very much like you are irritating the hair folicles, this is caused by either too little medium or pushing/pulling the folicle in different directions, so ensure your pressure strokes are towards the heart and lift your hand off when returning distally
