I keep feeling a bit dizzy and my mind is getting very foggy/fuzzy lately. I feel as though I want to stick my head in a freezer to wake myself up. It is starting to disturb me now as it keeps happening. My diet isnt good at the moment I have to say (too much chocolate, crisps etc). I am drinking water though. My memory is also going to pot, although that has been happening for a while now.
I am sitting at work and desperately trying to focus on an urgent job I have to do, but I just cant seem to do it (focus).
Any of your thoughts are welcome, although I would imagine the chocolate isnt helping.
RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
I sometimes feel like this Vicki. With me, it's sometimes that I'm about to get a virus, or get one that doesn't fully develop. I usually find that I need extra sleep and feel a bit low. Healthy food doesn't interest me and I want to comfort eat.
Other things that spring to mind could be a problem with the ears (balance) or eyes (focus).
If you're not eating properly, make sure that you take a good multi vitamin/mineral supplement.

RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
Hi vicki
I was feeling a lot like you describe and I had a suspicion that it might be Candida causing the problem. About four days ago I bought some Citricidal (grapefruit seed extract) and have been adding about four drops a day to lemon squash. I'm feeling a lot better now and a skin complaint that I've had for about three years is looking a lot better too. If you have Candidiasis it does make you crave sweet things, so that it can feast on the sugar.
Some people think Gotu Kola is beneficial for mental alertness. It might also be worth getting a thyroid function test if you are suffering from chills, constipation, PMS or loss of libido along with the loss of concentration. If you are getting dizzy it might pay to get your blood pressure checked too.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if it had anything to do with phone masts. A lot of people have been suffering with health problems since the installation of TETRA masts near their homes.
Just a few ideas. Hope you get it sorted out.
Sweetheart x
RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
If you don't have a virus you could possibly have food sensitivities. Try improving your diet for a start and cutting out all the rubbish and see if that helps. You could be sensitive to the things you are over-doing at the moment.
RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
Are you sure its not stress related sometimes i get a dizzy spell and my sight appears foggy in front of my eyes and can not focus at all.
Stress can do some stange things.
RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
Gooday Vicki,
Some good thoughts from previous answers, but it amazes me how every one these days looks only for something to pour down the neck in stead of first addressing the most basic cause of most health problems- THE SPINE. The messages & stimulation for the organs, glands and boby functions come from the central nervous system via the spinal cord. If the spinal alignment is out the messages & stimulations are compromised, this is the basic cause of most health problems. The sooner we move toward musclo skeletal balance the less damage occurs.
So heed some of the advice all ready given & look for some one who understands M.S.B
Kind regards.

RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
I was like that till about a year ago when I started Yoga, and since then WOW! I feel alive again, no chocs or crisps at work instead a punnet of sweet cherry tomatoes.

RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
Dear Vicky,
I am sorry to hear you are not too well.
The most likely explanation is your diet, that you are missing some nutrients and your body is not doing as well as a result, also when we overload with toxins, this puts greater strain on kidneys etc, this can result in thsoe toxins floating around in the blood again instead of all of them leaving with waste.
This causes, lethargy, sometimes headaches, skin problems, bad digestion which then gets you in a vicious circle where things just get worse, because one feels bad, the chocolates etc are more tempting sa they give us a fast release of energy..however this is short lived making the body ask for more, this leads us to a state of hypoglyceamia.
I suggest you increase the fruit and veg in your diet and watre, also complex carbohydrates to give your body slow burning energy over the day.
To help you get back on track you might find a reiki treatment very helpful as it will help your body back to balance and give you a boost and make things easier.
You also may be low in iron and aneamic, perhaps ask the DR about this, however increasing your intake of iron rich food may be beneficial.
Exercise also helps to increase general well being and energy levels, however, take it easy to start with and take your own pace until you feel better.
Stress as someone else mentioned may be a factor here, this can be very hand in hand with inability to concentrate or focus..have you ever tried a meditation. Seriously, ten minutes a day makes a big difference.
If things do not imptrove or you feel worse i hope you will visit your GP.
Good Luck,
Hal
RE: dizzy spells and trouble focusing
Hi Vicky
I think it would be sensible as others have said to see your GP for a checkup, as these symptoms could mean a number of things, although probably just eyestrain, or even migraine which doesnt alway hurt. some people only have visual disturbances and a fuzzy head.
If you are at a desk reading and looking at a computer screen for a long time you dont blink enough and the eyes get dry. You also need to look up and focus on something distant regularly for this. I know this from experience. I'm blinking like mad at the mo as my eyes are sore and tired.
Hope you are better soon. Keep us posted please.
