Hi I am looking for some advice. For some years now I have had a problem with my bowel. I just cant seem to empty it more than once a week. (That was the best way I could word it)

I have tried all western medicine and it doesn't work at all, or I
empty my bowel with vengence if you know what I mean.

I cant seem to get a happy medium

Anybody got any thoughts..

Kevxx

Hi Kev,

Have you considered a colonic irrigation session? I wouldn't do this for cosmetic reasons, but yours may be a medical reason. If you don't fancy that, you can buy physllium husks from health food shops. They do the job very well.

Love,
Patsy.

RE: All Bunged up!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the advice. I have started to eat more fruit and veg, and I am having a high fibre breakfast every morning.

I have also got a book out of the library on Virtical Reflexology for the hands, as I am a wheelchair user so I'll give that a go as well

Thanx again

Kevxx

RE: All Bunged up!

As well as taking a look at your diet, try daily aloe vera juice and acidopholis. They are very good for helping the digestive system get going again. If you're veering between constipation and rapid 'emptying', then IBS or something similar might be the cause? Depends on your lifestyle.

A good massage to do for your bowel is; when you lie in bed, 'knuckle' your way from the public bone up the transverse colon (right side), across the upper navel, down the small intestine, round the 'middle' and back down to the pubic again. Do this at least three times.

You should find that as you work your way round, you can put more and more even pressure on the bowel, which will help the movement of waste. If you find any tender spots, just work gently round them as firm as you can - these are most likely places of blockage or inflamation. When you're done, 'flush' the system by firmly pushing the flat of your hands from above the navel to the pubic, three times min.

Do this every night and you should begin to get more regular movements.

You're supposed to eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day... is your diet what a nutritionist would consider healthy?

Well, good luck with clearing yourself out!

Oh you could try something like Lactulose (ask for it over the counter). (Pharmacy counter, not the local chippy :D)

Hi Kev

I can identify with you, always had problems. [:@]
Now everyday I have natural organic yogurt to which
I add a large spoonful of golden flax seeds one of hemp
seed and two of museli and a drizzle of organic honey.
Works like magic for me.
Good Luck
