I found out about Imerman Angels recently - it's really quite inspiring. They basically connect people to others who have had the same type of cancer, and been through a successful fight. It was founded by a young man who had testicular cancer - though based in America they connect people all over the world.

Hi Cathy, what a lovely site, thank you for sharing. I found the Whatnow site (Macmillan/Bacup) a very good place for support from people with the same cancer etc. It's also for carer's.

That is a great site too!
The thing I like most about Imerman is their ability to make direct connections in such a bespoke way - just a case of answer the questions and they'll put you in touch with someone who has been through exactly the same kind of cancer as you. They have such a large network now that even seem to be able to connect people with the same cancer at the same stage as each other.
It looks particularly valuable to anyone with a rare form of cancer - when it's hardest to connect people, especially those who have been through a successful treatment!!
