Hi

I've just watched this fascinating video about Anita Moorjani who had a near death experience whilst in a coma with stage 4 cancer. She explains how she gained an understanding of why she thought she got cancer, how it progressed and how to heal herself. Simply wonderful.

Wow Vanassa thank you for this link.

It has left me feeling quite emotional as Anita's descriptions confirm exactly what my partner Paul has been saying through his healing modality.

It shows that we need to be "real" and "true to self".

I've been mulling this over since yesterday (darn those 3am wakenings!). I agree, I really liked in the video where Anita said that we are all unique and here for a purpose. If we are not ourselves then we are depriving the world of us.

Anita talked about loving ourselves first and then we are more easily able to give to others. I certainly find this difficult when I have grown up with messages and rewards for 'always think of others first', 'don't be selfish', 'be a good girl and go along with everyone else' blah blah blah. But these are just habits and beliefs which can be dissolved..... working on it!

I chuckle when I read the Oscar Wilde quote, 'Be yourself, everyone else is already taken'.

Thank you for hightlighting this point.

With love
Vanessa

This is one of the areas which we cover in the personal development section of our Breakthrough Day and it invariably creates a deep discussion around the very messages and rewards which you have highlighted. If you think about it, if you are not happy and fulfilled within self first, then how can you really make anyone else happy?

It is not a case of being "selfish" it is more about evaluating each choice as it arises intuitively and deciding "is this for me?" and "will it serve me well or not?"

If people choose to be affected by your choice and are not happy then that is for them to deal with.

What matters is that you have not created an inner conflict within yourself and your core way of being.

I particularly enjoyed Anita's description of "the oneness". She explained so eloquently how powerful we can be when we become whole.

I thought it was not only heartening, but enlightening. An utterly amazing experience and a very special person. People seem to have drifted away from their understanding of 'what is' and she shows that it is not too difficult to get back on track if only we listen to our inner being.

Thank you so much for posting it vanessa.

This woman has written a book on her experiences called "Dying to be Me" (it's available on Amazon). I've just read it and it's wonderful. Am now re-reading.

I have just finished reading Anita Moorjani's book, 'Dying to be Me'.

It is an excellent book, going into far more detail and thought than the video, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with any interest in healing, wholeness and consciousness.

I found it very enlightening and, like mouse16, will be reading it again!
