Another side to te coin...

There is a large growth of thes entrepreneur "doctors" on the net and I would recommend that before anyone believes their claims, they should goodle and read the "other side of the coin".

Myarka, I am not a medic in any way, that is not my brief, but I appreciate the wisdom of those who are, and I pass reliable information on.
Dr Mercola really cannot be challenged in a negative way....he is amazing!!

Hi Jualsy,

This is a forum and therefore an exchange of views, and it fair to show that there is an alternative view to certain things offered on the internet.

I'm sure that anyone who is qualified in certain fields should be pleased to come under scrutiny of the scientific world.

My reply is to allow readers and contributors to make there own choice and not just listen to the claims of "amazing". Particular for someone who makes a considerable amount of money out of being critical of established medicine.

My post is written out of friendship and care for others.

Myarka.

That should be the objective of all postings.

I love different points of view on all things, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

When I was going through my treatment for cancer I read an incredible amount of stuff, both good and bad, luckily as I have a background in nursing I was slightly more able to discern what was what.

I do beleive the acid/alkali stuff that this is based on, however, as we are all individually unique I truly believe that what works for one, won't for another. Same as chemo drugs, why do some apear to work for some and do nothing for others?

I wish the treatment for cancer was more simple than mercola would like us to believe. 🙁

I agree with you 100%....what has worked for me doesn't work for other members of my immediate family, but it works for others....how great that there is an alternative from orthodox treatments.....which I haven't taken for 35 years.
If only a few people get 100% results it is something worth going for....we are all, as you say, so different.
Onwards and Upwards....the research goes on.

Hi Jualsy!

I got Dr. Mercola's newsletter yesterday. It always amazes me that people use the old axiom, 'what works for one, doesn't work for everyone'. It certainly appears that there isn't much working for cancer in the realm of orthodox medicine. The American Cancer Society is still projecting over 1500 cancer deaths per day in 2009. The survival rate with 'approved medicine' is abysmal. The 'cancer related' deaths due to the 'complications' of cancer are equally pathetic. Complications caused by immune systems rendered useless by chemo and radiation. The many recommendations I have read from Dr. Mercola regarding the treatment of cancer have been in the realm of easily procurable, non-patented substances. Gee, Jualsy, as I approach the 'magical 5 year cure', they will be able to take credit for my 'cure' that they had absolutely nothing to do with.

Best to you always!

Brilliant....well done!! I have friends in that position at the moment and doctors are just amazed......but not interested, I have to say!!

If we were all healthy, think who would be out of work!!

The cures we are given just cause other problems....side effects and prescribed medication killed my father. I haven't taken so much as a pain killer in 35 years, and I was always beating a track to the doctor before I was introduced to natural remedies!!

The politically correct term replacing 'side effects' is now known as 'complications'-sounds so much nicer, doesn't it? Should really ease the the anguish of those afflicted and their affected loved ones. Dr. Mercola has recently applauded the benefits of sunshine vitamin D3-I wonder how much of a financial gain he has realized from that disclosure? My Vit D levels are at 89.7.......by jove, I think he may be on to something!!!

Best To You Always !!

That is incorrect.... The accepted term for conditions created by medication is Side effects. Whereas additional conditions created by disease or trauma is complications.

When the chemo renders the immune system powerless, that's the side effect. The cancer doesn't do it-I'll stick with mine thanks.

May I point out to everyone the disclaimer at the bottom of the home page on the Dr Mercola website:

and similarly, HP's own disclaimer:

<a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href=" https://www.healthypages.co.uk/disclaimer.php "> https://www.healthypages.co.uk/disclaimer.php

which please read, the latter relating to ANY claims of non-medical cures.
