Hi

My mother is 77 and 9 weeks ago had a severe constipation that lasted8 days.
This cleared but the pain & constant burping didn't stop.

The back pain is worse at night.

She has a loss of appetite and has lost 1 1/2 stone, is constantly bloated and feels to full to eat.

It is bring her down and she feels very vulnerable & fears something lurking.

Has anyone experienced this or had knowledge of these symptoms?

Thank you

This post has been a while. I was hoping to hear from soneone.

First have her looked at by her GP. They can rule out any nasties...

This constant burping with constipation scenario used to be a regular thing with my mum in law. She used to put it down to her diverticulitis. That was 12 years ago...over time the life style changed. She was living with us until 2 years ago, so I started to manage her diverticular- pain, bloating and dysfunctionality of bowels with bio chemics, clapping, mudras, pranayam, messaging accupressure points, massaging certain points on her hands and feet to release wind, introduced turmeric and other spices in her food - all sorts of stuff and non sense. She rarely burps, eats what she likes, has a good appetite for her age and hardly mentions "me diverticular " It was a wholelife style thing really.

having said that...body is very efficient at finding new challenges ...if you know what I mean!

So perhaps you can delve into help other than medicine, do your Reiki( i read on another post, that you find it helpful). The idea is when you do something together, it makes something come alive. It is the company, laughs, sense of someone there for you, time together that is more healing along with other bits and bobs...

bit of a ramble...hope it helps

Please get her checked out by the doctor first.

I then suggest she sees a registered Nutritional Therapist to see what can be done to help find the root cause and how to help by eating the right foods for her. It can make an enormous difference to one's health.

Thanks for reply's

I forgot to mention that mum is on warfarin & this seriously limits the complementary support.

That said I am sure a lot of information about foods affecting levels are to do with isolated cases. She has also had a number of reading recently that have caused her to reduce the warfarin fom having no change in diet except reduction.

Diverticulitis is a diagnosis mum had many years ago and mum cannot liken the symptoms to previous attacks. That said it could be a new bout with more symptoms this time.

Mum has instinctively stopped wheat based products.

She has seen 6 doctors they all had counter acting diagnosis all discrediting the previous doctors.

I thought triphala may help but have never found research confirming its ok with warfarin.

Love & Light

Xxxx
