As a recently turned 40 year old I have not had a health problem ever but recently I have noticed that I am experiencing a stiff back when I either arch backwards or try to touch my toes.
The feeling is not of pain although I have sometimes felt a little tightness in my neck and trap muscles (between neck and top of shoulders). I feel no discomfort during sllep and when I wake I am fine bending forwards or backwards. As the day progresses however I can start to feel it.
Touching the affected area, lower back, right on the spine I can feel some degree of discomfort about 1 inch or so down the spine. Around this area ie muscles there is no pain at all.
Obviously I need to go to my GP about this but anybody any clue as to the possible cause or causes?

Thanks in anticipation

RE: help please.......

My first reaction is to ask what you do during the day. Could it be that you work in a fixed position, such as at a computer keyboard? I am afraid that as we get older - sorry, more mature! - we do change and become less adaptable. Please have a look at your posture during the day before you go to your pill throwing GP person.

With love and light,
Sue.

RE: help please.......

40 is the age where you finally get your head together as your body starts to fall apart, welcome to the club chanca, on the plus side your birthdays will now seem only a few months apart
best regards

Hello Chanca,

Do not believe that your body is getting old as it is not true. I am 62 years old and I help people like you who have problems like yours. You have soem dislocated and / or pinched nerves( trapped nerves like some people would call it ). They need to be resetted and soon.

I am sorry you do not live near me as I would fix your pain and problem.

Hope you can find somebody of my experience and knowledge to help you

Good Luck

Joe

Hello chanca,

you have done very well to feel so well until now, your posture could be to blame for the way you feel, the best course of action would be to go and see your gp.
take care
