I have a veru debilitating situation at the minute and I dont know what to do.

Firstly , there is NO pain.....just a lot of discomfort , which is as bad as a pain.

I worked in telesales for a year.
Its illegal to call from telephone books but thats what this company did.
Because my eyesight is poor , and cant be corrected , I was reading the telephone numbers via a magnifying glass and I was hunched over a desk for 5 hours a day , in this position......

If you sit bolt upright , and imagine that your torso is at 12 noon on a clock , and the legs are at 3pm. Well , my torso was at the 2pm position for about 4 out of 5 days per week , 5 days a week , for a year. I had to lean forward like that to be able to see the numbers.

I started getting annoying shoulder tension and went to the doctor. He prescribed me diazepam 2mg , which used to work , but now dont.

I made a few changes at home as well. I got a memory foam mattress , and instead of spending long hours on the floor typing on a laptop , I got a tablet pc.

Im no longer in the job , and I thought the shoulder tension /fatigue / rsi would be a distant memory , but its got worse.

I also have a hiatus hernia just beneath my solar plexus and it has flared up in the past few weeks. It affects my breathing which feels irregular , as if im overbreathing and taking too much oxygen in , then I feel bloated , then my shoulders go up to my ears and I get very tense and rigid , and have even had a few panic / anxiety attacks.

From the moment I awake now , I spend hours pacing up and down with a vaccuum cleaner tube behind my head , with my arms over it , in an effort to pull my rounded shoulder blades back , which does work for a short time.

I also invested in a foam roller , and have been attending a physiotherapist , but she isnt doing anything.

I spend a lot of time holding my breath in an effort to control my breathing and to push my shoulders down.

Please help. I am in a lot of discomfort and dont know what to do to fix it.

go on youtube and watch "the fuzz speech " by gil hedley, it will show you what happens under the skin when you have an injury and what happens when you maintain that injury, it does contain graphic anatomical images of body parts if you happen to be squeamish
