Hello everyone. I have only recently been diagnosed as suffereing from arthritis in my knees. I didn't realise how debilitating the condition was until I got it myself. Can hardly walk sometimes its so painful. Thought it would be nice to talk to other people who had it and maybe get more information about the disease.

Hello snowbird, yes Uncle Arthur visits me reguarly too!!! You may find lots of useful advice on the arthritis forum. I get glucosamine on prescription for it, saves a bit of money. I also take other vitimans such as omega 3, b complex, really think they help keep your mood stable - well not always depends doesn't it, I always say to people thoughif you start taking these continue all the time with them.

Merry Christmas to you. [sm=xmas-smiley-019.gif]

Hi my mum has the same problem, her knee's are really bad if the weather is bad, so if it's raining she can hardly walk. The best thing she has found is to rub ''tiger balm'' on her knee's to take the pain away (not sure if you are meant to do this though).
My mum has tried everything possible to take the pain away and nothing works

I have found that a wrist magnet removes my (hip) discomfort. I think ladies can get magnets as bracelets and as necklaces.

RE: new arthritis sufferer

try Chondroitin and Glucosamine along with vitamins E &C.

They will help a lot but they work best with a strictly vegan diet

Arthritis is believed to be caused by excess acid residues in the body due to current lifestyles, diet, stress etc.

Over the years I suffered considerable pain from an upper back problem which my medical doctor said 10 years ago was beginning of arthritis. Since changing to a more alkaline diet I have seen a marked reduction and most days an elimination of pain with no painkillers. Thats why a vegan diet will work best although I'm not vegan.

There is lots of information to help people adopt a more alkaline lifestyle with all the benefits of less pain, more energy. Author Dr Robert Young of pH Miracle says pain equals acidity!
