There are presently over 200 types of arthritis and the symptoms, effects and treatments vary accordingly.
Have a look at http://www.arthritiscare.org.uk/Home - there's a wealth of info on the AC site, together with regional contact details for their national support network. Their regional offices and volunteers can give you lots of advice specific to your husband's type of arthritis. AC also run 'Managing your arthritis' courses on a regular basis with GP surgeries etc.

hello mmorgan, and welcome to healthypages. Sorry to hear the news, can you tell me where the arhtritis is please?. There are lots of possiblities, in treatment for arthritis, your gp will be the best person to guide you, as to what treatment to have. Anyhow perhaps if you have time, and want to you could give us more details
