My partner who is just 30 has what looks like the first signs of arthritis, the sore fingers that look slightly narled and swollen, mother and grandmother also suffer quite badly.
I know that glucosomine is good for arthritis but is it a preventative as well, would it be any good to my partner now. I don't see that it would be any harm but just wanted to check it out.
Thanks for any help

Kathryn x

Hi

It wouldnt do any harm but i think he should really go and see his GP sooner rather than later if he hasnt already been. Firstly they should hopefully be able to tell you if it seems like arthritis and then can arrange for ur partner to see a rheumatologist. Joints which become 'mis-shaped' is usualy down to Rheumatoid arthritis which really needs to be treated properly with medication.

Glucosamine seems to be a good cure-all in respect of joint aches and pain; it certainly helped the mobility of one of my fingers. I know many people who have been helped by taking it. Need to see a Dr too though!

Hope you can find something to help him soon.
