Came across an interesting 10min video on YouTube, on use of EFT for chocolate addiction by Tania Prince here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=y5CiPHyY-hk

Plain dark chocolate is very good for the heart. I try to eat an ounce a day. More makes me sick --and I am a sugar addict. Dark chocolate has far less sugar, so does not trigger my cravings.
I ate so much chocolate that I had physical and mental consequences. When I ate it I had to lie down, when I stop it I had to lie down... It was pure horror but I made it. I do not use white sugar chocolate at all anymore. Sometimes I use cacao powder but when I see I am going to badly hook up it again I stop it before it is going to go too bad.
I gave up on idea to quit chocolate, it was hard enough to quit smoking...
I'm so addicted to chocolate, I know I really need to cut down but I don't know how 🙁
I feel like the only way for me is to give it up completely, I'm very much a all or nothing person. The trouble is I can't see myself ever being able to give it up, so feel like its pointless even trying and have no motivation to do so.
I'm a very addictive person and my chocolate addiction is getting worse, I find myself having chocolate instead of breakfast, eating it as snacks throughout the day then pigging out on even more after dinner. If I gave up I feel like there would be a gap in my life and I don't know how to fill it - it's the thought of giving up my after dinner chocolate that's the hardest.
I thought maybe if I switch to dark chocolate I'd eat less but I've still wolfed down a big bar of green and blacks.
My only idea, and I know this sounds like a bad one, is to eat so much chocolate that I make myself really sick and put myself off chocolate. I'm not meaning this in a purging way - I'm actually frightened of being physically sick and will always try my best to stop myself bring sick. The idea comes from once when I was about 15, I ate 4 packs of crisps and was sick and since then I'm not a fan of crisps - the rare occasion I feel like eating a packet I end up feeling unwell for the rest of the day as a result.
I don't really want to make myself ill but don't know what else to do. Anyone have any comments or a miracle solution please?
Just realised this is a really old thread, opps!
Maybe you should reduce your chocolate addiction. It can cause bad for your health, especially diabetes
I think, Gilbo, that Iona_ already realises that she (? - I'm assuming) needs to reduce.
Addictions try to fill a space in our lives. What is it, Iona_, that chocolate is trying to replace?
